Terms of Service
Last updated: July 3, 2026
Welcome to WaddleTrip, a collaborative trip-planning app. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and WaddleTrip (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or otherwise using WaddleTrip, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use WaddleTrip.
1. Your account
To create trips you need an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use WaddleTrip.
2. Viewing and joining trips
Public trip pages and read-only previews of invited trips can be viewed without an account. To participate in a trip — voting, commenting, adding ideas, or editing the schedule — you need an account and an invite. Your contributions are visible to everyone in that trip.
3. Your content
You own the content you add to WaddleTrip — trip names, places, ideas, links, comments, votes, and schedules (“Content”). By adding Content you grant us a license to host, store, display, and share it as needed to run the service. In particular:
- Content added to a trip is visible to everyone in that trip.
- If a trip is made public or shared via a public page, its Content is visible to anyone with the link and may be copied into new trips by other users.
Any member of a trip can add, edit, vote on, and schedule its Content. Destructive actions (like deleting a trip) are reserved for the trip owner.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law or infringe others’ rights using WaddleTrip;
- upload malicious code or try to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the service;
- scrape, resell, or bulk-export the service or other users’ data;
- post content that is abusive, deceptive, or spam.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
5. Pro subscriptions
WaddleTrip’s core planning features are free. Optional Pro features are available as a paid subscription, billed through Stripe as either a monthly or a yearly plan. Prices are shown at checkout before you pay.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, and Pro features remain active until the end of the paid period.
- A trip has access to Pro features if at least one of its members has an active Pro subscription.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. If something went wrong with a charge, contact us and we will try to make it right.
6. AI features
When you paste a link into a trip, WaddleTrip may fetch the linked page and use AI services to extract details (like a place name, photo, or description) and turn it into an idea card. AI-generated details can be incomplete or wrong — double-check anything important, like opening hours, prices, or addresses.
7. Third-party services
WaddleTrip is built on third-party services, including Google Maps and Google Places for maps and place search. Your use of map features is also subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy. Links added to trips point to external sites we do not control.
8. Termination and deletion
You can stop using WaddleTrip at any time and can request deletion of your account and data (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Content you contributed to shared trips may remain visible to the other members of those trips after your account is deleted.
9. Disclaimers
WaddleTrip is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Trip information — including place details, hours, prices, and AI-generated content — may be inaccurate or out of date; verify it before you rely on it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of WaddleTrip, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or $50 if you paid nothing).
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as WaddleTrip evolves. If we make material changes we will post the updated Terms here and update the date at the top. Continuing to use WaddleTrip after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your State], United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
